Section of track on ground level, between Nazaret and intersection of C/General Urrutia and C/Escultor Antonio Sacramento.

PROGRESSION OF THE WORK

The infrastructures work and the installation of the track in this section have practically been completed, with very little work remaining.

The tram platform, which has a grass finish, and the passenger platforms for the three stops have been constructed in the section between Natzaret station and the El Saler roundabout: Natzaret, Moreres and L’Oceanogràfic.

A highlight within this section is the construction of a structure that enables the crossing of the Valencia-Castellón-Barcelona train lines. This raised crossing accommodates trams, pedestrians and bicycles. One of the pavements and the bicycle lane were opened to the public in August 2009.

The tram and passenger platforms for the Ciutat de les Artes i les Ciènces stop have also been completed in the section between Bulevar Sur and C/General Urrutia. Pressed concrete (red) has been used for the finish of the platform in the Bulevar Sur area, whilst grass has been employed in C/General Urrutia.

The work has been completed with the corresponding landscaping of the central division in Bulevar Sur and the roundabouts and zones adjacent to the crossing over the Valencia-Barcelona railway line.
